title: Better Yuma Online layout: page —
Yuma keeps growing and new, exciting businesses and projects keep springing up, enriching life for everyone. You’re one of these, open to serve up something the community needs.
But it’s no use if Yuma can’t find you!
For better or worse, even local businesses with great signage and real estate can be passed by because of one basic truth about the modern world:
When people want to find something, they google it.
Or they tap open Yelp or ask Siri. Regardless, you need to be present online as much as you need a storefront in the real world because it’s where real people look for local businesses.
They want to know when you are open, what you offer, who you are, and how to contact you. Answer those questions, and you are present online.
Answer them where Yuma is looking for you, and you move your presence out to Main Street (or 4th Ave.)!
How to Be Present in Yuma Online
You don’t really need a website to be present online.
What you need is to answer these questions:
- Who are you?
- When are you open?
- What do you offer?
- How can I get it?
A website can answer them in detail and well, but these should be answered before they ever get to your site.
Why? Three reasons:
- Time is not your friend. The more clicks, taps, and seconds they have to spend finding your details, the more likely they’ll give up.
- Your competitors are doing it. Many, and especially the big guys, are already making sure they place correctly on Google and other’s search results. And they may be taking out ads, too–so when your customer can’t find you, they’ll find your competitors.
- They may not ever get to you. I’ve seen restaurant searches result in three different menu sites (with conflicting menus), the wrong phone number, and a website for a place with the same name but in Colorado. Why? They did not claim their space and direct people to their details, their answers to those questions. So Google guessed, and others got to answer for them.
I can get you a comprehensive report on where you are present and where you are not, and sign you up for the absolute basics so you show up where people are trying to find you and decide where to put your energy beyond that.
It doesn’t have to complicated, and it’s not expensive.

My goal is to make Yuma fully present online so Yumans can find what’s there, enjoy it, and be able to recommend it easily. And for local Yuma businesses, non-profits, and events to thrive with this connection.
Hope to hear from you!
